BENGALURU: A 35-year-old journey agent was arrested at Kempegowda Worldwide Airport on the cost of trafficking and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old lady. He was allegedly taking her to Delhi after promising her a job on Wednesday.
The lady had run away from Kolar house searching for a job. The accused is M Nagesh, a resident of Bande Bommasandra, close to Byappanahalli. On the airport, Central Industrial Safety Pressure sleuths seen the lady accompanying Nagesh was disturbed and he was attempting to console her within the boarding lounge. The sleuths questioned the lady and located she was being trafficked. Nagesh was handed over to police custody and the lady reunited along with her household.
Nagesh has been booked underneath part 370 (trafficking of individuals) of IPC in addition to the Safety of Youngsters from Sexual Offences Act. He’s in judicial custody on the Central Jail.
Police stated the lady had come to Bengaluru on Tuesday and was roaming round in Majestic. Nagesh, who was sitting in his workplace close to Good Shed Street, supplied her assist and took her to a restaurant, the place they’d lunch.
Saying he might prepare jobs in different cities, Nagesh promised to take her to Delhi quickly. He then allegedly took her to a lodge close to Devanahalli and received intimate along with her, leaving her disturbed. The next morning, Nagesh booked two tickets to Delhi and took the lady to the airport, police stated.
“We’re probing whether or not he actually knew somebody in Delhi or was simply bluffing. We’re checking his file and contacts to establish whether or not he’s knowledgeable trafficker,” an officer stated.
